"The" White House or "A" White House
Just curious as to why a portrait of the White House in DC would be on a history of New York? Is there any supporting documentation?
Also, allowing for artistic license, the White House isn't exactly on the banks of the Potomac. Could this be a different mansion? Perhaps where George Washington lived in New York when he was president?
Excellent website, by the way.
